How to use the My Account Settings page in BorderConnect

View Preferences section of the My Account Settings page

The My Account Settings page in BorderConnect is available from the Account menu. It lets each user manage personal display preferences, search behavior, notifications, contact preferences, login security, and other workflow settings.

These preferences affect the signed-in user's own BorderConnect experience. Company-wide settings are managed separately from the Company Settings page.

View preferences

View preferences control the theme, layout, and mobile display behavior of BorderConnect.

Dark Mode
Changes BorderConnect to a dark theme.
BorderConnect Theme
Changes the colors used for headers and backgrounds. Theme options may include none, blue, red, night, or minimalist.
App Spacing
Changes the spacing between items on listing pages. Tight spacing shows more information on a single screen and is closer to the classic BorderConnect layout.
Use History Table View
Legacy table-style history view. This setting is not recommended unless a user specifically prefers or requires that view.
Use Full Card View on Mobile Listings
Expands sections on eManifest details pages when viewing BorderConnect on a mobile device, so more buttons and options are visible without opening each section manually.

Search preferences

Search Preferences section of My Account Settings

Search preferences control how search pages behave throughout BorderConnect.

Number of Results Per Screen
Changes the number of search results shown on a page. The setting can be changed from 25 to 100 results per page.
Show All Search Fields
Shows all available search fields on search pages instead of showing only the most common fields by default.
Search ACE from ACI
Allows the user to search and quick-assign shippers or consignees from previous ACE Manifests while working on ACI eManifests.
Search ACI from ACE
Allows the user to search and quick-assign shippers or consignees from previous ACI eManifests while working on ACE Manifests.
Display Shipments on Trip Listings
Shows shipments associated with each eManifest directly on eManifest search/listing pages.

Notification preferences

Notification Preferences section of My Account Settings

Notification preferences control which events send emails or push notifications to the user.

Receive Email Notifications
Sends an email to the address associated with the user account when updates are available for eManifests or shipments.
Receive Push Notifications
Sends push notifications to the mobile device or phone number associated with the user account, where supported.
Receive RNS Status Update Notifications
Sends an email notification when there are updates to RNS/PARS shipments in BorderConnect.
Receive RNS Sequence Low Notifications
Sends an email notification when an assigned RNS/PARS sequence is running low on available PARS numbers.
Receive ACE Status Update Notifications
Sends an email notification when there are updates to ACE Manifests or ACE shipments.
Receive U.S. In-Bond Status Update Notifications
Sends an email notification when there are updates to U.S. in-bonds from the U.S. In-Bond Manager.
Receive ACI Trip Accept Notifications
Sends an email notification when an ACI eManifest is accepted by CBSA.
Receive ACE Trip Accept Notifications
Sends an email notification when an ACE Manifest is accepted by CBP.
Receive ACI Trip Cancel Notifications
Sends an email notification when an ACI eManifest is successfully cancelled by CBSA.
Receive ACE Trip Cancel Notifications
Sends an email notification when an ACE Manifest is successfully cancelled by CBP.
Receive Followed Trip Notifications
Sends an email notification when an eManifest the user is following has an update.
Receive File Import Notifications
Sends an email notification when a file import succeeds or fails.
Receive Comment On Trip Notifications
Sends an email notification when another user comments on an ACE or ACI eManifest.
Receive Officer Manual Reject Notifications
Sends an email notification when an officer manually rejects an ACI eManifest or ACI shipment.

Contact preferences

Contact Preferences section of My Account Settings

Contact preferences control non-operational BorderConnect email communication.

Receive System Update Emails
Sends an email when there is a system-wide alert or BorderConnect software update.
Promotional Update Emails
Sends an email when there is an upcoming BorderConnect promotion.
Receive Newsletter and Event Emails
Sends an email for BorderConnect newsletters, events, or webinars.

Login preferences

Login Preferences section of My Account Settings

Login preferences control sign-in security for the user account.

Two-Factor Type (2FA)
Sets the user's two-factor authentication method. Available options may include none, SMS, email, or an authenticator app, depending on the account configuration.

Other preferences

Other preferences control miscellaneous workflow settings.

Auto Suggest ACE Trip Number
Automatically suggests the next unique ACE Manifest trip number when starting a new ACE Manifest. For example, if the last ACE trip number was ABCD 000123, the next suggested trip number would be ABCD 000124.
Disable Support Chat Bubble
Hides the support chat bubble.
Auto Suggest ACI Trip Number
Automatically suggests the next unique ACI eManifest trip number when starting a new ACI eManifest. For example, if the last ACI trip number was 1234 000123, the next suggested trip number would be 1234 000124.
Open Auto Completer on Focus
Opens the autocomplete list when the user clicks into a quick-assign field, such as driver, truck, trailer, shipper, or consignee.
Time Zone Setting
Changes the time zone used for message timestamps and estimated arrival settings. Options may include default company time zone, Pacific, Mountain, Central, Eastern, and Atlantic time.
