The decision to use E29B to bring goods into Canada and the completion of the form itself is the responsibility of the importer or their Customs Broker, and highway carriers should rely on them to supply all the necessary paperwork as well as the security deposit, where applicable. == Declaring an E29B Shipment in ACI eManifest ==

E29B Shipments are required to be reported on an ACI eManifest.<ref name="requirements">CBSA Requirements for Commercial Clients https://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/prog/aci-manif-ipec/req-exig-eng.html</ref> To report an E29B Shipment the carrier will need to create an ACI Shipment designated as non-CSA (or "[[E29B (CBSA Shipment Type)|E29B Temporary Admission Permit]]" if using [http://borderconnect.com/ BorderConnect's] [[ACI eManifest Software User Guide (CBSA)|ACI eManifest software]]), and ensure that the shipment is transmitted as part of their ACI eManifest.

Although an E29B Shipment is different from a [[PARS_(CBSA_Shipment_Type)|PARS]] shipment, the carrier will still need to provide a unique [[Cargo_Control_Number_(Customs_Glossary_Guide)|Cargo Control Number]], as well as all other information normally required for an ACI Shipment including Shipper, Consignee and Commodity information.

At the border, the driver must also present a completed [http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/publications/forms-formulaires/a8a-b.pdf A8A] for the shipment, as well as other documentation related to the clearance, including the completed E29B form and security deposit, if applicable.
