ACE Manifest status will update automatically either when the ACE Manifest is transmitted or receives a specific response from CBP thereby updating the manifest status.
In BorderConnect’s ACE Manifest software, each ACE Manifest Status visually represents the current processing stage of a manifest with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

List of ACE Manifest Statuses
Statuses update automatically when:

;Draft
* A manifest is transmitted to CBP
:(One Yellow Bar) The ACE Manifest is currently active but has not been transmitted to CBP yet. It's recommended to finish entering data for the eManifest and send it to CBP using the Sync with CBP button from the ACE eManifest Details page.
* CBP returns an acceptance, rejection, or system message
* Arrival or release is reported at the border

;Cancelled Manifest
These visual indicators appear on:
:(One Red Bar) The ACE Manifest which was previously submitted to CBP has now been cancelled and the eManifest has been removed from customs system. To receive a Cancelled Manifest status a user must have transmitted a Cancel eManifest from the top of the ACE eManifest Details page and subsequently received a successful cancelled message from CBP.

;Transmitted to CBP
* ACE Manifest Details Page
:(Two Yellow Bars) The ACE Manifest was recently transmitted to CBP but has not received a response yet. During normal operation a response will usually arrive in 1-2 minutes upon transmitting the ACE Manifest to CBP. This status is common when initially sending your eManifest to CBP or syncing an ACE Manifest that you recently made changes to.
* ACE Manifest Search Page

;Preliminary Manifest On File With CBP
Quick Status Overview
:(Two Light Blue Bars) This status is common when filing an ACE eManifest with either an eManifest containing Instruments of International Traffic (IIT), or when filing an ACE eManifest without a shipment, such as empty ACE eManifests. When an ACE eManifest is in a Preliminary state it will be followed by automatically transmitting an End of Manifest message which will lead to the status being updated to Complete Manifest on File with CBP after CBP accepts the ACE.

;CBP Returned Error
{| class="wikitable"
:(Two Brown Bars) This status indicates that the ACE Manifest has returned an error message back from CBP after either transmitting the initial manifest to CBP or revising information on your manifest and re-syncing the ACE with CBP. In cases like this it's important to determine what the error is and to resolve the issue before re-syncing the ACE Manifest with CBP. Insight on the error or reject message is provided in the ACE eManifest History section of the ACE eManifest Details Page. A quick chat or call with BorderConnect eManifest Support can also guide you to resolve the error. :(Three Blue Bars) This status means that the ACE Manifest is accepted and on file with CBP. If the ACE Manifest does not have a PAPS or In-Bond shipment then this status indicates that the driver is ready to approach the border.

;Complete Manifest And Entry Numbers On File With CBP

:(Four Green Bars) This status is common when the ACE Manifest has a PAPS shipment. This means that an entry number has been processed and certified by CBP from the customs broker and that the driver is now clear to approach the border. For PAPS shipments an entry number will also be provided in the ACE eManifest history section of the ACE eManifest Details page.
(One Yellow Bar)

;Truck Arrived at Border
The manifest has been created but not yet transmitted to CBP.
:(Five Dark Green Bars) This status means that the driver has been reported as arrived at the Port of Arrival by the CBP officer. Typically when the ACE has been reported as arrived the driver is held at the border, either because there is an issue with the ACE Manifest, the driver or is held as they are awaiting a secondary inspection before being released. It's recommended to reach out to the driver and determine why the status is in an arrived state and to resolve the issue. If there is an issue with the ACE Manifest (as provided by the CBP officer), it's recommended to reach out to BorderConnect eManifest Support so they can help resolve the issue.

Complete all required information, then click Sync with CBP.
:(Six Green Bars) This means that the ACE Manifest has been successfully released by the CBP officer at the Port of Arrival and the shipment is headed to it's final destination within the U.S. No further action is required.
