In BorderConnectâs ACE Manifest software, each ACE Manifest Status visually represents the current processing stage of a manifest with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
Statuses update automatically when:
- A manifest is transmitted to CBP
- CBP returns an acceptance, rejection, or system message
- Arrival or release is reported at the border
These visual indicators appear on:
Quick Status Overview

Understanding Each ACE Manifest Status
Draft
(One Yellow Bar)
The manifest has been created but not yet transmitted to CBP.
Complete all required information, then click Sync with CBP.
Cancelled Manifest
(One Red Bar)
The manifest was successfully cancelled and removed from CBPâs system.
This commonly occurs when major corrections are needed before arrival.
Transmitted to CBP
(Two Yellow Bars)
The manifest has been sent and is waiting for CBPâs response.
Normal response time is typically 1 to 2 minutes.
Preliminary Manifest On File With CBP
(Two Light Blue Bars)
CBP has received the initial manifest but is awaiting the automatically transmitted End of Manifest message.
This commonly occurs when:
- Filing empty manifests
- Filing manifests containing IIT shipments
Once CBP accepts the End of Manifest message, status updates to Complete Manifest On File With CBP.
CBP Returned Error
(Two Brown Bars)
CBP rejected the manifest due to incorrect or missing data.
To resolve:
- Review the reject message in ACE eManifest History
- Correct the issue
- Click Sync with CBP

Complete Manifest On File With CBP
(Three Blue Bars)
The manifest is fully accepted by CBP.
If no PAPS or In-Bond shipments exist, the driver may approach the border.
Complete Manifest and Entry Numbers On File With CBP
(Four Green Bars)
Broker entry numbers have been processed and certified by CBP.
This commonly applies to PAPS shipments and means the driver is clear to proceed.
Entry numbers appear in the manifest history section.
Truck Arrived at Border
(Five Dark Green Bars)
CBP has recorded the driverâs arrival at the Port of Arrival.
The driver may be:
- Awaiting inspection
- Held due to manifest issues
- Awaiting clearance processing
Contact the driver to confirm the reason for delay.

Truck Released at Border
(Six Green Bars)
CBP has released the shipment.
The truck may proceed to its final destination.
