E-Manifest Tracking Feature (ACE and ACI eManifest)

The eManifest Tracking Feature in BorderConnect allows users to receive real-time updates whenever customs responses are received for a manifest.

Selecting Track eManifest from the eManifest Details page

Instead of manually refreshing or repeatedly checking a manifest’s status, tracking automatically notifies you by:

• 📧 Email alerts
• 🚨 On-screen response indicators
• 🔗 Quick-access shortcut links

This feature is especially helpful when working with customs changes that require waiting for responses between steps.

When Should You Use eManifest Tracking?

Tracking is most useful when:

Scenario	Why Tracking Helps
Cancelling and resubmitting an ACI eManifest	You must wait for the cancel response before resending
Editing trip numbers or key shipment details	Prevents delays while waiting for CBSA/CBP replies
Monitoring time-sensitive shipments	Ensures immediate awareness of customs decisions
Managing multiple manifests at once	Avoids manually checking each file

How to Track a Manifest

You can track manifests from both:

• ACI eManifest Details Page
• ACE Manifest Details Page

Step-by-Step

1. Open the manifest you want to monitor
2. Hover over the Track button at the top of the page
3. Choose one of the following:
   • Track eManifest
   • Track eManifest With Note

The note option allows you to record why you’re tracking the manifest (helpful when tracking several at once).

Once saved, the manifest becomes actively tracked.

What Happens After Tracking

Once enabled:

• A shortcut link appears under the main menu for quick access
• You receive email alerts for each customs response
• New responses are visually flagged

🚨 Three red exclamation marks appear beside the manifest number when a new response arrives.

Viewing Who Is Tracking a Manifest

At the bottom of the manifest details page, BorderConnect displays a list of users currently tracking the manifest.

This is visible on both:

• ACI Details Page
• ACE Details Page

Stopping (Untracking) a Manifest

When tracking is no longer needed, you can easily stop it using any of the following methods.

Option 1 — From the Track Button

1. Open the manifest details page
2. Hover over Track
3. Select Untrack Manifest

Untracking directly from the Track menu

Option 2 — From the People Tracking Section

Under the People Tracking list at the bottom of the manifest:

• Click Untrack next to your name

💡 You can only untrack yourself. Other users must remove their own tracking individually.

Option 3 — From the Shortcut Link

• Click the [x] beside the manifest shortcut link under the main menu

This removes tracking without opening the manifest.

What Happens After Untracking

Once removed:

• The shortcut link disappears
• Email notifications stop
• Visual response alerts are removed

The manifest will continue processing normally — you just won’t receive tracking updates.
