View, manage, and update individual trailer profiles for eManifest filings.
Overview
The Trailer Details Page in BorderConnect eManifest software is where users view, manage, and update individual Trailer Profiles. This page centralizes all trailer information used for ACE and ACI eManifest filings, helping ensure accuracy and faster manifest creation.

How to Access:
- From the Trailer Search Page by clicking View.
- After saving a new trailer on the Add Trailer Page.
- From eManifest pages by selecting View Trailer next to an assigned trailer.
Trailer Details
This section at the top of the page displays the core trailer information used in manifests.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Trailer Number | The internal unit number used to identify the trailer. |
| Trailer Type | The physical type (e.g., Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed). |
| ACE ID | ACE identifier associated with the trailer (if applicable). |
Available Actions
| Action | Description |
|---|---|
| Edit Trailer | Opens the Edit Trailer Page to update general information. |
| Delete | Permanently removes the Trailer Profile from BorderConnect. |
License Plates
This section manages the license plate information linked to the trailer. License plates are required when the trailer will be used on ACE or ACI eManifests.
| Platform | Plate Rules |
|---|---|
| ACE eManifest | Up to two plates may be entered (e.g., for double drop trailers). |
| ACI eManifest | Only one plate is supported. |
Best Practice: To maintain compatibility across both ACE and ACI systems, it is strongly recommended to enter only one license plate whenever possible.
Managing Plates
- Add License Plate to Trailer: Adds a new plate number and state/province.
- Edit: Updates an existing plate record.
- Delete: Removes the license plate from the trailer.
Internal Comments
The Comment Section allows users to store internal notes about the trailer. These notes are for your reference only and are not transmitted to Customs.
Common Uses:
- Maintenance reminders.
- Ownership details.
- Special operating notes or restrictions.
