Driver Paperwork & QR Codes

ACE Driver Lead Sheets
BorderConnect supports all standard ACE driver copy formats, ensuring your drivers have the specific documentation required by CBP officers. Choosing the right format can significantly reduce processing times at the primary inspection booth.
- Standard Lead Sheet: The industry-standard barcode sheet containing the Trip Number and essential conveyance details. Perfect for high-volume carriers with standard loads.
- Detailed Lead Sheet: Includes a comprehensive breakdown of all shipments associated with the trip. This is highly recommended for LTL (Less-than-Truckload) carriers who may need to verify individual PAPS numbers for the officer.
- QR Code Format: The most modern iteration, utilizing high-density QR codes for faster scanning. This format is increasingly preferred at major ports of entry as it is more resilient to printing smudges and easier for handheld scanners to read.
Pro Tip: Digital Copies
While physical copies are required, many CBP officers now accept the QR Code format directly from a driver's tablet or smartphone screen, providing a reliable backup if a printer fails at the terminal.
Status and History

This panel provides real-time visibility into the manifest’s status with CBP.
| Section | What It Shows | Why It Matters |

| Details | Trip number, port, ETA, current status. | Confirms the live state of the manifest (e.g., "Complete Manifest on File"). |
| History | All transmissions and CBP responses. | Provides proof of the 1-hour prior notice, arrival times, and release messages. |
Truck Section

Every ACE manifest must include a truck. Validation warnings will appear here if required data (like DOT number or Seal) is missing.
| Action | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Quick Assign Truck | Type a Unit Number to instantly load a saved truck profile. |
| Assign Truck | Opens a search list to find a truck profile manually. |
| Add Seal | Enter seal numbers for the truck/container. |
| Set IIT Status | Declare Instruments of International Traffic (e.g., empty racks/pallets). |
Trailer Section

You can add one or multiple trailers to a manifest.

| Quick Assign Trailer | Fast lookup by Unit Number or Plate. |
| Change / Remove | Swap or delete the trailer from the trip. |

| Assign Passenger | Add additional occupants (co-drivers, etc.). |

| Quick Assign Shipment | Type a Shipment Control Number (SCN) to attach an existing shipment. |
