ACE Shipment Details Page
The central hub for managing individual ACE shipment data, commodities, and parties.
Overview
The ACE Shipment Details Page is the main workspace for a specific shipment within the BorderConnect ACE Manifest software. It provides a complete overview of all cargo information, shippers, consignees, and commodities, and serves as the launchpad for transmitting shipment-specific data to CBP.
How to Reach This Page:
- Automatically: Upon clicking 'Save' on the Start New ACE Shipment Page.
- From Search: By clicking 'View' on any result in the ACE Shipment Search Page.
- Navigation Link: By using the 'Back to ACE Shipment' shortcut link available after viewing sub-pages (like commodities).
Main Function Buttons

Located near the top of the page, these buttons control the shipment's lifecycle and association.
| Button | Function |
|---|---|
| Edit | Opens the Edit ACE Shipment Page to modify core data like the Shipment Control Number (SCN). |
| Delete | Removes the shipment from BorderConnect. Warning: This does not cancel the shipment with CBP. If the shipment is already on file, transmit a cancellation first! |
| Detach | Removes the shipment from its current manifest but keeps it in the system as an "Unassociated Shipment" for later use. (Only visible if attached). |
| Back to ACE eManifest | Returns you to the parent ACE Manifest Details Page. |
Shipment Only Send to CBP
This button is for advanced users who need to transmit only this specific shipment data, rather than the entire manifest.
- Send Unassociated Shipment: Transmits the shipment to CBP without linking it to a trip.
- Cancel Shipment Message: Sends a request to CBP to cancel this specific shipment. (If attached to a manifest in CBP's system, this removes it from that manifest).
- Attach Shipment Message: Links this shipment to a manifest in CBP's system (both must already be on file).
Details & History

Located directly below the function buttons, this section provides situational awareness.
- Details: Displays the Shipment Control Number (SCN), Shipment Type (e.g., PAPS), Province of Loading, and the Associated Trip Number.
- History: Logs every event for the shipment, including creation time, edits, and CBP responses (Accepted, Rejected, Released).

This section manages the entities involved in the movement of goods.
| Action | Description |

| Assign (Shipper/Consignee) | Opens a form to manually enter a new name and address. (Use only if the party doesn't exist in your system). |
| Assign Broker | Optional. Designates the Customs Broker. Useful for the "Broker Download" feature in ACE, but does not affect entry numbers. |
| Assign 3rd Party | Optional. Adds a 3rd party entity to the shipment record. |
| Edit / Remove | Modify the address of an assigned party or remove them from the shipment entirely. |

Located at the bottom of the page, this section lists all goods contained in the shipment.
