ACI Hazardous Goods Search Page
A master data tool for managing stored UN codes and emergency contacts for ACI shipments.
Overview
The ACI Hazardous Goods Search Page allows you to manage the stored Hazardous Goods Profiles used when entering hazardous material details on ACI shipments in BorderConnect’s ACI eManifest system.
Whenever hazardous information is entered on a commodity, BorderConnect automatically saves it as a reusable profile. While convenient, over time this may result in:
- Duplicate UN codes.
- Incorrect or outdated emergency contact details.
- Inconsistent handling instructions.
This page lets you clean up, correct, and standardize hazardous goods data to ensure faster and more accurate ACI filings.

How to Access: Navigate to the ACI eManifests menu and select Hazardous Goods.
Why Manage Hazardous Profiles?
Maintaining a clean list of hazardous goods profiles offers several advantages:

Adding a New Profile
In most workflows, hazardous profiles are created automatically when entered on a shipment. However, you can manually add standardized profiles in advance.
Steps to Add
1. Click New Hazardous Good. 2. Enter the UN Code. 3. Enter the Contact Name and Phone Number. 4. Add any specific Handling Instructions. 5. Click Save.
Note: Saved profiles will automatically populate the contact and handling fields whenever that UN Code is selected on a future commodity.
Search and Management
Use the search filters to quickly locate specific hazardous goods profiles by UN Code, Contact Name, or Phone Number.
Search Controls

| Reset | Clears filters and shows all stored profiles. |
| Clear | Empties search fields for a new query. |
Managing Results
The results list displays all matching profiles. You can manage them using the actions in each row:
- Edit: Update contact details, fix UN codes, or revise handling instructions. Updates apply to future shipments only.
- Delete: Remove duplicate or outdated profiles. This does not affect historical data.
Best Practices
Recommended Cleanup Workflow
1. Search by UN Code or contact name. 2. Identify duplicates (e.g., same UN code with different spellings of the contact name). 3. Edit the correct profile to ensure it is accurate. 4. Delete the duplicate or incorrect entries.

- Keep emergency contact details current to satisfy Hazmat regulations.
- Use official UN codes only.
- Standardize handling instructions to be clear and concise.
