Add Passenger Page

Create and manage reusable profiles for passengers traveling on commercial manifests.

Type: Data Entry System: General Data

Overview

The Add Passenger Page in BorderConnect is used to create Passenger Profiles for individuals traveling on ACE or ACI eManifests. These profiles store personal details required by customs authorities, allowing users to quickly assign passengers to future manifests without re-entering their information every trip.

How to Reach This Page:

From the Manage Data menu by selecting Create Passenger.
From the Passenger Search Page by clicking Create Passenger.
From the ACE eManifest passenger assignment screen by selecting Create New Passenger.

Page Controls

Use the following controls to manage the data entry process.

Button	Purpose
Save	Creates the Passenger Profile and immediately opens the Passenger Details Page.
Cancel	Discards all entered information and returns you to the Passenger Search Page.
Clear	Removes all entered values so new information can be entered from scratch.

Entering passenger details

This section captures the personal details required to identify each passenger for customs reporting.

Field	Description
First / Last Name	The passenger’s legal first and last name exactly as shown on their travel documents.
Middle Name/Initial	Optional. Enter if it appears on the travel document.
Gender	Select the gender from the dropdown menu.
Date of Birth	Enter in `mm/dd/yyyy` format or select from the calendar picker.
Country of Citizenship	The citizenship shown on the travel document being used at the border.

Tips & Best Practices

Helpful Tips

Match Documents: Always match passenger names exactly to the passport or travel document they will present to the officer.
Dual Citizenship: If a passenger holds dual citizenship, enter the citizenship tied to the specific document they are using for this crossing.
Validation: Double-check dates of birth. Incorrect birth dates are a common cause of manifest validation errors.

What Happens After Saving?

Once saved, the Passenger Profile becomes stored in your system and available for:

Immediate assignment to ACE eManifests.
Future use on other manifests without re-typing data.
Quick searching and editing via the Passenger Search Page.
