Creating and Maintaining Passenger Profiles
A guide to managing passenger data for efficient ACE and ACI manifest creation.
Overview

This guide explains how to create, update, and manage passenger profiles in BorderConnect eManifest software.
Passenger profiles allow you to store traveler information once and reuse it on future manifests. This eliminates repetitive data entry and ensures accuracy when filing with customs.
Passenger profiles are used to:
- Complete mandatory traveler information for ACE Manifests.
- Identify passengers for user reference on ACI eManifests.
Benefit: Once saved, a passenger profile remains available in your account and can be selected on any applicable manifest instantly.
Creating a New Passenger Profile
To create a new passenger profile, navigate to the Manage Data menu and select Create Passenger.
Entering Details
This opens the Add Passenger Page, where you can enter the passenger’s personal details.

After completing the required fields, click Save (top left). You will be automatically taken to the Passenger Details Page, which shows a full summary of the profile.

Travel Documents (ACE eManifests)
If the passenger profile will be used for ACE eManifests, valid travel documents must be added to the profile.
Document Requirements
| Scenario | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Passport Entered | No additional documents required. (Recommended). |
| Driver’s License Entered | A second travel document (e.g., Birth Certificate) must also be added. |
How to Add a Document
1. Click Add Travel Document on the Passenger Details page. 2. Enter the document type and details (Passport is recommended for simplicity). 3. Click Save.
Tip: If using a Driver's License, repeat the steps to add the required second document. Once complete, the passenger profile is ready for use on ACE eManifests.
Managing Existing Profiles
To view or manage passenger profiles already entered in your account, go to Manage Data and select Search Passengers.

By default, all active passenger profiles are shown. You can use the search filters to quickly locate a specific passenger if your list is large.
Actions
- View / Update: Click View to open the details page and make changes.
- Delete: Click Delete to remove a passenger profile. Deleted profiles are no longer selectable on future manifests.
Tips and Best Practices
- Passports First: Entering passport information up front reduces the need to add additional documents and prevents ACE submission errors.
- Proactive Setup: Create passenger profiles ahead of time to speed up manifest creation during busy periods.
- Maintenance: Double-check document expiration dates periodically to ensure compliance.
