Creating and Maintaining Passenger Profiles (ACE and ACI eManifest)

A video tutorial on creating a passenger profile within BorderConnect.

This guide explains how to create, update, and manage passenger profiles in BorderConnect eManifest software.

Passenger profiles allow you to store traveler information once and reuse it on future manifests, eliminating repetitive data entry and helping ensure accuracy when filing with customs.

What Passenger Profiles Are Used For

Passenger profiles in BorderConnect are used to:

Once saved, a passenger profile remains available in your account and can be selected on any applicable manifest. There is no need to re-enter passenger details for each crossing.

Creating a New Passenger Profile

To create a new passenger profile:

  1. Open the Manage Data menu
  2. Select Create Passenger

This will open the Add Passenger Page, where you can enter the passenger’s personal details.

After completing the required fields, click Save (top left). You will be taken to the Passenger Details Page, which shows a full summary of the profile.

Entering Travel Documents (ACE eManifests)

If the passenger profile will be used for ACE eManifests, a travel document must be added.

Required Travel Documents

Scenario Requirement
Passport entered No additional documents required
Driver’s License entered A second travel document must be added

How to Add a Travel Document

  1. Click Add Travel Document
  2. Enter the document details (passport recommended)
  3. Click Save to return to the Passenger Details page

If a Driver’s License is used, repeat the steps to add a second document. Once complete, the passenger profile is ready for use on ACE eManifests.

Managing Existing Passenger Profiles

To view or manage passenger profiles already entered in your account:

  1. Open the Manage Data menu
  2. Select Search Passengers

This opens the Passenger Search Page.

By default, all active passenger profiles are shown. You can use the search filters to quickly locate a specific passenger if your list is large.

Viewing, Updating, or Deleting Profiles

From the Passenger Search Page:

  • View / Update – Click View to open the Passenger Details Page and make changes
  • Delete – Click Delete to remove a passenger profile from your account

Deleted passenger profiles are no longer selectable on manifests.

Tips and Best Practices

🔖 Entering passport information up front reduces the need to add additional documents later and helps prevent ACE submission errors.

  • Create passenger profiles ahead of time to speed up manifest creation
  • Double-check document expiration dates periodically
  • Use consistent naming to make passengers easy to find in search results
