The Edit ACI eManifest Page is where users update the main trip or conveyance information for an existing manifest in BorderConnect ACI eManifest software. This page is used to update the trip number, first Canadian port of entry, sublocation or warehouse, estimated arrival date, and estimated arrival time.

The Edit ACI eManifest Page can be accessed from the ACI eManifest Details Page by clicking the Edit button.

Manifest Fields
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Trip Number | Also called the Conveyance Reference Number. This is a unique number used to identify the manifest for CBSA. The trip number begins with the Canadian Carrier Code, selected from the drop-down menu, followed by 4 to 21 letters or numbers entered by the user. The trip number must be unique and cannot be the same as a PARS number or other Cargo Control Number. |
| First Canadian Port of Entry | The Canadian port where the driver will enter Canada. The user can search by city name or port code. In most cases, typing the city on the U.S. side of the border will also bring up the corresponding Canadian port of entry. |
| Sub Location/Warehouse | Indicates the warehouse or facility where in-bond shipments will be bonded to. This field is required for in-bond shipments or when failed PARS may move in-bond. Non-bonded carriers should generally leave this field blank, while bonded carriers should complete it when applicable. The user can search by warehouse name or sublocation code. |
| Estimated Arrival Date | The date the driver is expected to arrive at the Canadian border. The user can enter the date using the format mm/dd/yyyy or select it using the calendar icon. The eraser icon clears the date. A manifest cannot be transmitted more than 30 days in advance of arrival. |
| Estimated Arrival Time | The time the driver is expected to arrive at the Canadian border. The user can change the time using the hour, minute, and AM/PM drop-down menus. |
Trip Number Tips
The ACI trip number must be unique for each manifest. Reusing a previous trip number can cause transmission or processing issues with CBSA.
Do not use a PARS number, cargo control number, or shipment number as the trip number. The trip number identifies the conveyance, while the cargo control number identifies a shipment.
Common trip number strategies include using an internal load number, using the date with a sequence number, or starting with a number such as 0001 and counting upward. The best method is one that is easy for the carrier to track and prevents duplicate trip numbers.
Sublocation Tips
Use the Sub Location/Warehouse field only when it applies to the movement. For in-bond shipments, the sublocation identifies the warehouse or facility where the goods will move under bond.
Non-bonded carriers should generally leave this field blank unless instructed otherwise by the customs broker, bonded warehouse, or BorderConnect support. Entering an unnecessary sublocation may create confusion in the ACI filing.
Bonded carriers should confirm the correct sublocation code before transmitting the manifest. The sublocation should match the intended bonded destination for the shipment.
Editing Tips
Review the port, ETA, driver, truck, trailer, and shipment details before saving changes. If the manifest has already been transmitted, changes may need to be synced with CBSA after saving.
Update the estimated arrival date and time if the driver is delayed or crossing earlier than expected. Keeping the ETA accurate helps maintain clean ACI records and avoids confusion at the port.
Use Cancel instead of the browser back button when leaving the page without saving. This keeps the workflow clear and returns the user to the ACI eManifest Details Page.
