Search QP Importing Carriers Page
Manage carrier profiles used for QP In-Bond filings and arrivals.
Overview
The Search QP Importing Carriers Page in BorderConnect U.S. In-Bond Manager allows the user to search for and manage QP importing carriers. These profiles are used when creating QP in-bonds to identify the carrier transporting the goods.
How to Access:
Navigate to the U.S. In-Bonds menu and select QP Importing Carriers.
Creating New Importing Carriers
While profiles are normally created automatically while entering a QP In-Bond, you can also add them manually here.
Create New QP Importing Carrier
Clicking this button opens the Add QP Importing Carrier page. You can enter:
- Name: The carrier's company name.
- Mode of Transportation: (e.g., Truck, Rail, Air, Ocean).
- SCAC / Carrier Code: The unique identifier code.
- Country: The country where the carrier is based.
Once entered, clicking Save adds the profile and returns you to the search page.
Search Controls
This section allows you to filter carriers by Name, SCAC/Carrier Code, Mode of Transportation, Country, and status (Active/Inactive).
| Button | Function |
|---|---|
| Search | Searches for matching results based on the options entered. |
| Reset | Clears all other search options and resets the criteria to the default settings (showing all active carriers). |
| Clear | Sets all search options to blank so new criteria can be entered from scratch. |
Results & Management
The results section displays the list of carriers generated by your search. Use the three-dot tooltip menu on the right side of each result to manage them.
| Action | Description |
|---|---|
| Edit | Opens the Edit QP Importing Carrier page. Clicking Save updates the profile immediately. |
| Archive | Deactivates the QP Importing Carrier and removes it from default search results. (Useful for removing obsolete carriers from selection lists). |
