Search In-Bond Status Queries Page
View the history of all in-bond status queries sent to CBP and initiate new tracking requests.
Overview
The Search In-Bond Status Queries page in BorderConnect’s U.S. In-Bond Manager provides a complete history of all in-bond status queries sent to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) from your account.
This page is used to:
- Review CBP responses for previously queried in-bonds.
- Track the lifecycle of in-bond shipments over time.
- Quickly locate a specific in-bond status update.
- Send new status queries by in-bond number, bill of lading, or air waybill.
How to Access:
Navigate to the U.S. In-Bonds menu and select Search Status Queries.
Sending New Queries
Located above the search filters, these buttons allow you to immediately send new CBP status requests. Each option opens the appropriate form and transmits the request to CBP.
| Button | Function |
|---|---|
| Send In-Bond Status Query | Sends a query using an In-Bond Entry Number (9-digit). |
| Query Bill of Lading | Sends a CBP query using a Bill of Lading Number. |
| Query Air Waybill | Sends a CBP query using an Air Waybill (and optional House Waybill). |
Note: Responses typically return within one to two minutes and will appear in the Results List below.
Search Controls
This section allows you to locate any status query previously sent from your account. You can filter by In-Bond Entry Number, Date Sent, or a combination of both. By default, results show queries sent within the last week.

|---|---|
| Search | Displays queries matching your filters. |
| Reset | Restores the default one-week date range. |
| Clear | Removes all filters to allow for custom searching. |
Query Results
Each row represents a CBP status query and response. Displayed information includes:
- Query Send Date
- CBP Response Date
- In-Bond Entry Number
- Current Status (e.g., On File, Arrived, Exported)
- User who submitted the query
Click View to open the In-Bond Status Query Details Page for the full CBP response message.
Daily Workflow
This page fits into the daily compliance workflow by creating a complete electronic audit trail:
1. Send in-bond status query. 2. CBP responds with shipment status. 3. Query appears in the results list. 4. User opens details for full CBP data. 5. User proceeds with arrival, export, or monitoring actions.
