ACI eManifest Details Page

The ACI eManifest Details Page is the central workspace for managing a manifest in BorderConnect’s ACI eManifest software.

From this page, users can:

  • Review all trip and shipment information
  • Monitor CBSA responses and current status
  • Make edits and corrections
  • Assign trucks, trailers, drivers, and shipments
  • Transmit updates to CBSA
  • Track manifest history and compliance timing

This page should be your primary reference for every manifest.

How to Access the Details Page

You will reach this page by:

  • Saving a new ACI eManifest
  • Clicking View from the ACI eManifest Search Page
  • Using the Back to ACI eManifest links throughout the system
  • Returning from any attached shipment details

Main Action Buttons

Main function buttons

These controls manage transmission, documentation, and tracking.

Button Purpose
Edit Modify trip number, port, sublocation, or ETA
Export Download eManifest data in JSON format (with or without history)
Print Generate Driver’s Copy PDF (Standard or Detailed)
Fax Fax Driver’s Copy directly from BorderConnect
Email Email Driver’s Copy as a PDF attachment
Track Receive email alerts for CBSA responses and flag manifest activity

Manifest Status & History Window

This section is critical for compliance and troubleshooting.

Details Panel

Displays:

  • Trip Number
  • Port of Entry
  • ETA
  • Sublocation/Warehouse
  • Current Manifest Status
  • Creation and edit history

History Panel

Records all activity including:

  • Submissions to CBSA
  • Acceptances and rejects
  • Arrivals at the border
  • Shipment events
  • Manifest edits

This is where you verify:

  • One-hour prior notice compliance
  • CBSA reject reasons
  • Border arrival timing
  • All corrections made

Use Filter View to isolate manifest or shipment messages if needed.

Truck Assignment Section

Truck information is mandatory for ACI eManifests.

Action Function
Quick Assign Truck Fastest way to attach an existing truck
Add Truck Manual selection with extra options
Change Replace the currently assigned truck
Remove Detach truck and its seals
Set Cargo Exemption LVS, Flying Truck, IIT, Mail
Add Seal Record seal numbers on the truck

Validation warnings will appear if truck data is incomplete.

Trailer Assignment Section

Trailers must be listed when used on the trip.

Features include:

  • Quick Assign for fast entry
  • Multiple trailer support (double-drop)
  • Seal management
  • Cargo exemption setting

Trailers can be viewed, changed, or removed at any time.

Driver & Passenger Section

Driver and passenger listing is optional and for internal reference only.

This data is not transmitted to CBSA.

Available actions:

  • Quick Assign Driver
  • Assign Passenger
  • View profiles
  • Change or remove individuals

Shipment Management Section

All shipments aboard must be attached to the manifest.

Action Purpose
Create New Shipment Create and attach a new shipment
Quick Assign Shipment Attach an existing unassociated shipment
View Edit shipment details
Detach Remove shipment from manifest
Send Status Query Refresh CBSA shipment responses
Set Shipment Status Manual correction (rarely used)

Hidden Advanced Sections

Use Show All to reveal:

  • Containers
  • Documents
  • Comments
  • Verifications
  • EDI History
  • Changelog History

These can also be enabled permanently in Account Preferences.

Container Management Section

Containers are required when used on the shipment.

You may:

  • Add multiple containers
  • Assign seals
  • Set cargo exemptions
  • Edit or remove containers

Manifest Comments Section

Comments are internal notes for:

  • Exception handling
  • Delay explanations
  • Compliance tracking
  • Team communication

They are not sent to CBSA but are strongly recommended for audits.
