Understanding Each Status in Detail

Draft

(One Yellow Bar)

The eManifest is created but has not been transmitted to CBSA.

What to do:

  • Complete all required data
  • Click Sync with CBSA on the details page

---

Cancelled

(One Red Bar)

The manifest was previously submitted but successfully cancelled with CBSA.

Common use:

  • Correcting major errors
  • Changing trip numbers before arrival

---

Transmitted to CBSA

(Two Yellow Bars)

The manifest was sent and is awaiting a CBSA response.

Typical response time:

  • 2–4 minutes (may vary during peak periods)

ℹ️ Info
This status commonly appears after submitting a new manifest or amending one.

---

CBSA Returned Error

(Two Brown Bars)

CBSA rejected the manifest due to missing or incorrect information.

Next steps:

  • Review the error in the ACI eManifest History section
  • Correct the data
  • Re-sync with CBSA

On File With CBSA

(Three Blue Bars)

The eManifest is accepted and officially on file.

Important:

  • A minimum one-hour pre-arrival wait applies
  • Applies when no PARS shipment exists

After the wait period, the driver may approach the border.

---

On File With Match Notice

(Three Light Blue Bars)

CBSA has linked the manifest to a PARS/RNS message.

Recommended action:

  • Send a Status Query for the PARS shipment

If a Declaration Accept Message is found, the status will automatically update to:

On File With Transaction Number(s)

---

On File With Transaction Number(s)

(Four Green Bars)

Broker clearance is complete and transaction numbers have been issued.

Driver may proceed:

  • After the mandatory one-hour wait period

Transaction numbers appear in the manifest history section.

---

Arrival Reported at Border

(Five Dark Green Bars)

CBSA has reported the driver as arrived at the First Port of Entry.

This usually means:

  • The shipment is not PARS or In-Bond
  • Or inspection is underway

ℹ️ Info
Some shipments remain in this status even after release if no electronic release message applies.

---

Rejected After Arrival at Border

(Five Brown Bars)

CBSA rejected the manifest at the border due to an issue.

What to do:

  • Confirm issue with the driver or CBSA officer
  • Correct the manifest information
  • Transmit an Amendment from the Send to CBSA menu

If accepted → status returns to Arrival Reported at Border

---

Released

(Six Green Bars)

CBSA has officially released the shipment.

✔ No further action required ✔ Cargo may proceed to final destination
