ACI eManifest Status Guide (ACI eManifest)
|
🔖 This article is part of the BorderConnect ACI eManifest Guide |

Statuses automatically update when:
- The manifest is transmitted to CBSA
- CBSA sends a response or decision
- Arrival is reported at the border
- Release or rejection occurs
These indicators appear on:

Draft
(One Yellow Bar)
The eManifest has been created but has not yet been transmitted to CBSA.
- Complete all required fields
- Select Sync with CBSA from the details page
Cancelled
(One Red Bar)
The manifest was successfully cancelled and removed from CBSA’s system.
This is typically done when:
- Major data must be corrected
- A trip number needs to change before arrival
Transmitted to CBSA
(Two Yellow Bars)
The manifest has been sent and is awaiting CBSA’s response.
Normal response time is usually 2–4 minutes, though delays may occur during busy periods.
CBSA Returned Error
(Two Brown Bars)
CBSA rejected the manifest due to incorrect or missing information.
- Review the error in the ACI eManifest History section
- Correct the issue
- Re-sync the manifest

On File With CBSA
(Three Blue Bars)
The eManifest has been accepted and is officially on file.
If no PARS shipment exists, the driver may approach the border once the mandatory one-hour pre-arrival period has passed.
On File With Match Notice
(Three Light Blue Bars)
CBSA has linked the manifest to a PARS shipment in the Release Notification System (RNS).
It is recommended to send a Status Query to confirm broker clearance.
Learn how to send a Status Query
If a Declaration Accept Message is found, the status will automatically update to On File With Transaction Number(s).
On File With Transaction Number(s)
(Four Green Bars)
Broker clearance has been processed and certified by CBSA.
Transaction numbers appear in the manifest history, and the driver may proceed after the required wait period.
Arrival Reported at Border
(Five Dark Green Bars)
CBSA has recorded the driver’s arrival at the First Port of Entry.
This commonly applies when:
- The shipment is not PARS or In-Bond
- The officer is conducting inspection
Some shipments remain in this status even after release when no electronic release message applies.
Rejected After Arrival at Border
(Five Brown Bars)
The manifest was rejected by the CBSA officer at arrival.
Recommended steps:
- Confirm the issue with the driver
- Correct the manifest data
- Transmit an Amendment from the Send to CBSA menu
If accepted, the status will return to Arrival Reported at Border.
Released
(Six Green Bars)
CBSA has officially released the shipment.
No further action is required.
