Add Truck Page
Create and manage reusable profiles for power units used on ACE and ACI eManifests.
Overview
The Add Truck Page is where users create and store Truck Profiles within BorderConnect eManifest software. Truck Profiles are used when building ACE and ACI eManifests and allow users to quickly assign conveyance information without retyping vehicle details for each shipment.
How to Reach This Page:
- From the Manage Data menu by selecting Create Truck.
- From the Truck Search Page by clicking Create Truck.
- From the Assign Truck to ACE eManifest Page by clicking Add New Truck.
Page Actions
Use the following buttons to manage the data entry process.

| Save | Creates the Truck Profile once required fields are completed and opens the Truck Details Page. |
| Cancel | Discards changes and returns to the Truck Search Page. |
| Clear | Empties all fields so new information can be entered. |
Truck Information Fields
This section collects the core vehicle data used on customs manifests. A legend at the bottom of the page indicates which fields are required based on manifest type.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Truck Number | Internal unit or fleet number used to identify the truck. |
| Terminal | Office or terminal the truck belongs to. (New terminals can be created from the Company Details Page). |
| Vehicle Type | Truck classification selected from the list. Choose "Other" if none apply. |
| VIN Number | Full vehicle identification number (partial VINs are not accepted). |
| DOT Number | U.S. Department of Transportation number associated with the truck. |
| Transponder Number | Electronic transponder ID used for border crossings. |
| Insurance Policy | Policy covering the truck. (New policies can be created from Manage Data or Company Details). |
| ACE Portal ACE or Conveyance ID | ACE or Conveyance identifier tied to the vehicle for CBP filings. |
| License Plate Number | Plate number using letters and numbers only. |
| License Plate State/Province | Jurisdiction where the plate is registered. |
Tips & Best Practices
Helpful Tips
- Full VINs: Always enter the full Vehicle Identification Number to avoid validation errors.
- DOT Numbers: Reuse DOT numbers when multiple trucks share the same carrier registration.
- Terminals: Assign trucks to the correct terminal for easier reporting.
- Insurance: Keep insurance policies updated to prevent manifest issues.
