How to use the company settings page in BorderConnect.

ACI eManifest settings section on the Company Settings page

The Company Settings page in BorderConnect is accessed from the Account menu and allows users to configure how BorderConnect behaves when creating, editing, importing, and managing shipments.

These settings control defaults, automation, validation behavior, and display options for:

ACI eManifests
ACE Manifests
Shipments (ACI & ACE)
RNS / PARS workflows
Coversheets and driver copies
User, invoice, and API behavior

Changes made on this page apply immediately to all users on the account.

ACI eManifest Settings

These settings affect how new ACI eManifests and ACI shipments are created.

Default Carrier Code: Automatically applied when starting a new ACI eManifest or shipment.
ACI Trip Numbers Always Start With: Prefix applied to all new ACI trip numbers (e.g. 1234 0000123).
Auto Suggest ACI Trip Number: Automatically increments the next available trip number when creating a new ACI eManifest.
Enable ACI FAST Lane Notifications: Sends FAST eligibility notifications when drivers have “ACI On File” enabled.
Exclude Driver Name From ACI Driver’s Copies: Removes the driver name from printed, faxed, or emailed ACI driver copies.
Display ACI Import Buttons: Enables JSON import for ACI trips and shipments and reveals the import button on the Start New ACI eManifest page.

ACE Manifest Settings

These settings control how ACE Manifests are created and imported.

Default SCAC Code: Automatically applied when starting a new ACE Manifest or shipment.
ACE Trip Numbers Always Start With: Prefix applied to ACE trip numbers (e.g. ABCD 0000123).
Auto Suggest ACE Trip Number: Automatically increments the next ACE trip number.
Display ACE Import Buttons: Enables JSON imports and displays the import button on the Start New ACE Manifest page.
Require Existing Active SCAC for ACE Imports: Requires imported SCACs to already exist and be active on the account.

Shared eManifest Settings

These settings apply to both ACE and ACI workflows.

Display “No Seal” Warnings: Warns users when no seal is entered for a truck or trailer.
Use Verification Features: Enables verification workflows for reviewing eManifests.
Auto Assign Last Driver: Automatically assigns the last driver used with the selected truck.
Auto Assign Last Trailer: Automatically assigns the last trailer used with the selected truck.
Auto Fill ACE/ACI Port Based on Last Selection: Automatically uses the previously selected port.
Use Commodity Suggestions: Suggests commodity details based on prior entries.
Show High Priority Listings: Displays eManifests requiring attention (e.g. late ETA, port mismatch).

Detailed Driver’s Copy Settings

Controls which columns appear on detailed driver copies. Maximum of four options may be enabled at one time.

ACI Shipment Settings

These settings affect ACI Cargo Control Numbers and shipment defaults.

ACI Shipments Always Start With: Prefix applied to ACI Cargo Control Numbers.
Include the word “PARS” in Cargo Control Number for ACI PARS Shipments: Automatically inserts “PARS” after the carrier code.
Standard PARS Sequence Length: Validates the number of characters used in PARS numbers.
Allow ACI “Reference Only” Shipments: Enables reference-only ACI shipments when another carrier transmits data.

ACE Shipment Settings

These settings control ACE shipment numbering and in-bond behavior.

RNS Settings

Include Proof of Release in RNS Emails: Adds Proof of Release PDFs to RNS emails (approval required).
Warn When Driver’s Stickers Are Under: Sends warnings when assigned PARS stickers fall below a threshold.
