Trailer Details Page (ACE and ACI eManifest)

The Trailer Details Page is the page in BorderConnect eManifest software where a user can view and edit a trailer profile. All information in the trailer profile is displayed here, along with options to add or change information.
The Trailer Details Page can be opened in the following ways:
- From the Trailer Search Page by clicking the View link for the desired trailer.
- From the Add Trailer Page or Edit Trailer Page by clicking Save.
- From the trailer details view for an ACE eManifest by clicking View Trailer.
- From the ACI eManifest Details Page by clicking the View link for the trailer.
Trailer Details Section
This section appears at the top of the page and displays the general information for the trailer profile, including trailer number, trailer type, and ACE ID.
- Edit Trailer Button
- Updates the general information for the trailer profile. Clicking this button brings the user to the Edit Trailer Page.
- Delete Button
- Deletes the trailer profile.
License Plate Section
This section allows the user to manage license plates for the trailer. Existing license plates are listed here, along with options to add, remove, or edit plates.
A license plate is required if the trailer profile will be used on ACE or ACI eManifests. For ACE eManifests, two license plates can be entered for double-drop trailers. For ACI eManifests, only one license plate should be entered. Because of this, it is recommended that users enter only one license plate per trailer profile so that the profile is compatible with both ACE and ACI.
- Add License Plate to Trailer Button
- Adds a license plate to the trailer profile. Clicking this button opens a separate screen where the plate number and state or province can be entered. After saving, the license plate is added and the user returns to the Trailer Details Page.
- Edit
- Edits an existing license plate. Clicking this link opens a separate screen where changes can be made. After saving, the license plate is updated and the user returns to the Trailer Details Page.
- Delete
- Removes a license plate from the trailer profile.
Comment Section
This section allows the user to add and view comments about the trailer. Comments are for user reference only and can be a useful way to record information that does not belong elsewhere.
- Add Comment Button
- Adds a comment to the trailer profile. Clicking this button opens a screen where the comment can be typed. After saving, the comment is added to the trailer profile and the user returns to the Trailer Details Page.
- Edit
- Edits an existing comment. Clicking this link opens a screen where the comment can be updated. After saving, the comment is updated and the user returns to the Trailer Details Page.
- Delete
- Removes a comment from the trailer profile.
