QP Commodity Descriptions Search Page (U.S. In-Bond Manager)

The QP Commodity Descriptions Search Page is a page in BorderConnect U.S. In-Bond Manager that allows the user to manage QP Commodity Descriptions used when entering QP in-bonds. Stored descriptions can make in-bond data entry faster and more consistent.
It can be accessed from the U.S. In-Bonds menu by clicking Commodity Descriptions.
Creating New Commodity Descriptions
Click New Commodity Description to add a new QP Commodity Description. This is often done automatically while entering a QP in-bond, which is usually more efficient, but descriptions can also be created manually from this page.
The Add Commodity Description page includes the following fields:

|---|---|
| Description | The text used to describe the goods. |
| Default Quantity Type | The default packaging or quantity unit used with the description. |
| Default Weight Unit | The default weight unit used with the description. |
| Alias | Optional shorthand that can be used to find or select the commodity description more quickly. |
Click Save to add the profile and return to the QP Commodity Descriptions Search Page.
Search Section
The Search section allows the user to search for QP Commodity Descriptions by Description/Alias or by Default Quantity Type.
| Button | Description |
|---|---|
| Search | Searches using the entered search options and displays matching profiles in the Results section. |
| Reset | Resets the search options to their default settings and clears the search fields. |
| Clear | Clears all search fields so new criteria can be entered. |
Results Section
The Results section displays the QP Commodity Descriptions generated by the search options. Each result includes action links in the three-dot tooltip menu on the right side of the row. If more than one page of results is available, use the arrow icons to move through the additional pages.

|---|---|
| Edit | Opens the selected QP Commodity Description so the user can update the description, defaults, or alias. Clicking Save updates the profile and returns the user to the QP Commodity Descriptions Search Page. |
| Delete | Deletes the selected QP Commodity Description profile from the system. |
