QP Shippers and Consignees Search Page (U.S. In-Bond Manager)

The Search for QP Shipper/Consignee/Notify Party Page is a page in BorderConnect U.S. In-Bond Manager that allows the user to manage QP shippers, consignees, and notify parties used when entering QP in-bonds.[1]
This page acts as an address book for parties used in QP in-bond filings. It can be accessed from the U.S. In-Bonds menu by clicking QP Shippers & Consignees.[1]
BorderConnect’s U.S. In-Bond Manager allows users to electronically report in-bond arrivals, exports, and port diversions to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).[2] QP bill of lading entry in BorderConnect includes the parties involved, including shipper and consignee, so maintaining accurate saved party profiles can make QP in-bond filing faster and more consistent.[3]
Creating New Profiles
Click or hover over Create New to choose whether to create a Shipper, Consignee, or Notify Party. Profiles are often saved automatically while entering a QP in-bond, but they can also be created and maintained from this page.
After selecting the profile type, the user is brought to a separate page where the name and address can be entered. Clicking Save adds the profile and returns the user to the Search for QP Shipper/Consignee/Notify Party Page.
Saved shipper and consignee profiles should be reviewed before reuse because CBP’s in-bond regulations require in-bond applications to include shipment details such as the merchandise description, quantity, weight, value, and other information needed for the in-bond movement.[4] While party profiles help with repeated data entry, the user should still confirm that the saved name and address match the current QP in-bond.
Search Section
The Search section allows the user to search for Shippers, Consignees, and Notify Parties by name. By default, the page displays Shippers.
Use Search By to switch between Shippers, Consignees, and Notify Parties. Enabling Show All Fields at the top right reveals additional search options, including Address, City, State/Province, Country, and Postal Code.

Searching by address fields is useful when multiple companies have similar names or when the same shipper, consignee, or notify party has multiple locations. BorderConnect’s general party search pattern also supports searching party profiles by type, name, address, and related profile fields in its eManifest workflows.[5]
Results Section
The Results section displays the profiles generated by the search options. Each result includes action links in the three-dot tooltip menu on the right side of the row. If more than one page of results is available, use the arrow icons to move through the additional pages.

Before deleting a profile, users should consider whether the party is still used for recurring QP in-bond filings. Keeping the party list clean helps prevent duplicate or outdated addresses from being selected when creating new QP bills of lading.
