The Search Carrier Code Queries Page is a page in BorderConnect U.S. In-Bond Manager that allows the user to search for, query, and manage ABI Carrier Codes.[1] It is used to check carrier code or SCAC information returned by CBP.
It can be accessed from the U.S. In-Bonds menu by clicking Search Carrier Code Queries.[1]
BorderConnect’s U.S. In-Bond Manager allows users to electronically report in-bond arrivals, exports, and port diversions to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).[2] The Standard Carrier Alpha Code (SCAC) is a unique two-to-four-letter carrier identifier used to distinguish transportation companies.[3]
Search Section
The Search section allows the user to search for carrier code queries by SCAC/Carrier Code and by Date Sent Between. By default, it displays carrier code query results from the last week.[1]

| Search | Searches using the entered options and displays matching results in the Results section. |
| Reset | Clears the other search options and resets the criteria to the default settings. |
| Clear | Clears all search options so new criteria can be entered. |
Use this section when the user needs to find a previously submitted carrier code query or review CBP’s returned information for a specific SCAC. Searching by date range can help locate recent CBP responses when multiple carrier code queries have been sent.
Send ABI Carrier Code Query Page
Use this page to send a new Carrier Code Query to CBP. Clicking Send ABI Carrier Code Query opens a separate page where the SCAC/Carrier Code can be entered.[1]
After entering the SCAC/Carrier Code, click Send Carrier Code Query to CBP to transmit the query and return to the Search Carrier Code Query page.[1]
A carrier code query can be useful when a user needs to confirm whether a SCAC is recognized, review the mode of transportation associated with the code, or verify carrier address and status information returned by CBP. CBP truck-mode documentation notes that ABI can use a Standard Carrier Alpha Code (SCAC) with a unique identifier number, such as a bill of lading, pro-bill, or entry number, provided by a carrier.[4]
Results Section
The Results section displays carrier code query results generated by the search options. Each result includes a View link or eyeball icon on the right side of the row. Selecting it opens the ABI Carrier Code Query Details Page.[1]
If more than one page of results is available, use the arrow icons to move through the additional pages.
ABI Carrier Code Query Details Page
The ABI Carrier Code Query Details Page displays the information returned by CBP, including:[1]
- Carrier Code.
- Response Date.
- Mode of Transportation.
- Address.
- Status.
- User who sent the ABI Carrier Code Query.
The details page is useful for reviewing the exact CBP response after a query is transmitted. It can also help confirm that the carrier code being used for QP in-bond or other U.S. In-Bond Manager workflows matches the intended carrier before the user continues with related filing activity.
