Trailer Search Page
Locate, manage, and update trailer profiles for eManifest filings.
Overview
The Trailer Search Page in BorderConnect eManifest software allows users to quickly locate, review, update, and manage Trailer Profiles. Maintaining accurate trailer records ensures smoother ACE and ACI eManifest creation and reduces data entry errors.
By default, all trailers are displayed when the page loads, making it easy to browse your entire fleet.

How to Access:
- Open the Manage Data menu and select Search Trailers.
- Select Show All Trailers to immediately view every trailer in the system.
Page Actions
Located at the top of the page, these buttons allow you to add new data or export current records.
| Button | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Create Trailer | Opens the Add Trailer Page to create a new Trailer Profile from scratch. |
| Export Trailers (CSV) | Downloads the current search results into a spreadsheet file for external reporting or auditing. |
Search Controls

The Search Section lets you filter trailer records using multiple criteria. This is especially useful for large fleets where browsing the full list is inefficient.
Common Search Filters:
- Trailer Number: Search by unit number.
- License Plate: Locate a trailer by its plate number.
- Type/Terminal: Filter by specific trailer types (e.g., Reefer) or assigned terminals.
Search Buttons
| Button | Function |
|---|---|
| Search | Refreshes the list to display only trailers matching your criteria. |
| Reset | Clears all fields and reloads the default view (all trailers). |
| Clear | Empties all search boxes without running a search, allowing you to type new criteria. |
Results & Management
The Results Section displays all trailers that match your search filters. Each row represents a Trailer Profile and includes quick action links.
| Action | Description |
|---|---|
| View | Opens the Trailer Details Page to review full information, including license plates and comments. |
| Edit | Opens the Edit Trailer Page to update data such as license plates or trailer type. |
| Delete | Permanently removes the trailer from BorderConnect. |
Navigation Tip: If more than one page of results appears, use the arrow icons at the bottom of the list to move between pages.
Best Practices
- Consistency: Use consistent trailer numbering across your fleet to make searching easier.
- Maintenance: Keep license plate details current to avoid manifest errors at the border.
- Cleanup: Periodically review and delete inactive or outdated trailers to keep your database clean.
