ACE Shipment Details Page (ACE Manifest)
| This article is part of the BorderConnect Software User Guide |

The ACE Shipment Details Page is the main page for an individual ACE Shipment in BorderConnect ACE Manifest software. It shows the shipment's details, history, parties, commodities, and available shipment-level actions.
The ACE Shipment Details Page can be accessed in the following ways:
- Automatically after clicking Save on the Start New ACE Shipment Page.
- By using the Back to ACE Shipment link that appears after viewing related shipment pages.
- From the ACE Shipment Search Page by clicking View on an ACE Shipment search result.
Main Function Buttons
The main function buttons are located near the top of the ACE Shipment Details Page. They control the shipment's main information, manifest association, and shipment-only CBP transmissions.

| Button or field | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Edit | Opens the Edit ACE Shipment Page so the user can change the Shipment Control Number and other core shipment options. After saving, the user returns to the ACE Shipment Details Page. |
| Delete | Deletes the ACE Shipment from BorderConnect. This does not cancel the shipment with CBP. If the shipment is already on file with CBP, cancel it with CBP before deleting it from BorderConnect. |
| Detach | Removes the shipment from the manifest it is attached to. The shipment remains in BorderConnect as an unassociated shipment and can be assigned to a manifest later. This button only appears when the shipment is attached to a manifest. |
| Shipment Only Send to CBP | Transmits shipment-level data to CBP. This is for advanced users; normally, use Send to CBP on the ACE Manifest Details Page so all trip and shipment data is transmitted together. |
| Back to ACE eManifest | Returns to the ACE Manifest Details Page for the manifest that the shipment is attached to. This button only appears when the shipment is attached to a manifest. |
| Quick Attach Trip | Attaches the shipment to an existing ACE Manifest. Type the desired trip number, select the matching manifest, or press enter to attach the shipment. |
The Shipment Only Send to CBP menu contains these options:
| Option | Result |
|---|---|
| Send Unassociated Shipment | Transmits the shipment to CBP as an unassociated shipment, meaning it is not linked to a manifest. |
| Cancel Shipment Message | Sends a request to cancel the shipment with CBP. This cancels only the shipment, not the full manifest. If the shipment is attached to a manifest in CBP's system, the request removes it from that manifest. |
| Attach Shipment Message | Sends a request to link the shipment to a manifest in CBP's system. Both the shipment and the manifest must already be on file with CBP. |
After a shipment-only send option is selected, BorderConnect asks the user to confirm the transmission. If errors prevent the transmission, BorderConnect displays them at that time.
The Quick Attach Trip field can only attach a shipment to a manifest that already exists in BorderConnect. It cannot create a new manifest or change an existing trip number. If the manifest does not exist yet, create it from the Start New ACE Manifest Page. If the manifest exists but the trip number is wrong, edit the ACE eManifest first.
Details / History Window

The Details / History window is located under the main function buttons and helps the user understand the current state of the shipment.
| Section | Information shown |
|---|---|
| Details | Displays shipment information such as Shipment Control Number, Shipment Type, Province of Loading, and Associated Trip. |
| History | Displays the shipment history, including when the shipment was created, major edits, transmissions, and CBP responses. Use this section together with the current status when troubleshooting shipment issues. |
Shipper, Consignee, And Other Parties

The Shipper, Consignee, and Other Parties section is located below the Details / History window. It allows the user to assign, edit, or remove the shipper, consignee, customs broker, and optional third party for the shipment.
| Action | When to use it |
|---|---|
| Assign Shipper | Adds a new shipper to the shipment. Use this only when the shipper has not already been entered in BorderConnect. After the required shipper fields are saved, BorderConnect returns to the ACE Shipment Details Page. |
| Assign Consignee | Adds a new consignee to the shipment. Use this only when the consignee has not already been entered in BorderConnect. After the required consignee fields are saved, BorderConnect returns to the ACE Shipment Details Page. |
| Assign Broker | Adds broker information from a separate broker entry page. Quick Assign Broker is usually faster when the broker already exists in BorderConnect. |
| Assign 3rd Party | Adds an optional third party to the shipment. The user enters the third party type, name, and address, then saves the required fields. |
| Quick Assign Shipper | Assigns an existing shipper profile. Type the shipper name or address, then select the matching profile or press enter. This field appears only when no shipper is assigned. |
| Quick Assign Consignee | Assigns an existing consignee profile. Type the consignee name or address, then select the matching profile or press enter. This field appears when a shipper is assigned but no consignee is assigned. |
| Quick Assign Broker | Assigns an existing customs broker by name or filer code. This field is optional and appears after a shipper and consignee are assigned when no broker is assigned. |
| Edit | Edits the name or address for an assigned shipper, consignee, broker, or third party. Use this to correct the current party's information. To replace the party with a different one, remove it first and then assign the new party. |
| Remove from Shipment | Removes an assigned shipper, consignee, broker, or third party from the shipment. |
Broker information is optional. When filled in, it can allow the broker to view the ACE Shipment if they use the Broker Download feature in ACE, but it does not affect receiving entry numbers on a manifest.
Commodity Section

The Commodity section is located below the party section. It allows the user to review and manage the commodity information attached to the shipment.
| Action | Result |
|---|---|
| Create Commodity | Opens the Add/Edit Commodity for ACE Shipment Page so the user can enter commodity information. After saving, BorderConnect adds the commodity and opens the ACE Commodity Details Page. |
| View | Opens the ACE Commodity Details Page for the selected commodity. |
| Edit | Opens the Add/Edit Commodity for ACE Shipment Page so the user can update an existing commodity. After saving, BorderConnect opens the ACE Commodity Details Page. |
| Delete | Removes the commodity from the shipment. |
