ACE Manifest Details Page (ACE Manifest)
| This article is part of the BorderConnect Software User Guide |

The ACE eManifest Details Page is the main workspace for a BorderConnect ACE Manifest. It gives a complete overview of the manifest, lets the user make changes, and provides the controls needed to transmit the manifest to CBP.
Return to this page whenever you need to review manifest information, verify the current CBP status, make changes, add equipment, add drivers or passengers, attach shipments, or review the manifest history.
The ACE eManifest Details Page can be accessed in the following ways:
- Automatically after saving a new ACE eManifest, unless Save and Start New Shipment was selected.
- By clicking Back to ACE Manifest on the ACE Shipment Details Page for a shipment attached to the manifest.
- By using the Back to ACE Manifest shortcut link created for the most recently viewed manifest.
- From the ACE Manifest Search Page by clicking View on an ACE eManifest search result.
Main Function Buttons

The main function buttons are located near the top of the page. They provide access to the most important manifest-level actions, especially once the manifest has been completed.
| Button | Description |
|---|---|
| Edit | Opens the Edit ACE eManifest Page so the user can change the Trip Number, U.S. Port of Arrival, or ETA. After saving, the user is returned to the ACE eManifest Details Page. |
| Sync with CBP | Transmits the manifest and attached shipment data to CBP, or sends updates after changes are made. |
| Export | Downloads eManifest data in JSON format. The standard JSON export includes trip and shipment details. The JSON with history export also includes timestamps for transmitted data and responses. |
| Generates an ACE eManifest driver's copy in PDF format. The print menu can include a Standard Driver's Copy, Detailed Driver's Copy, or QR Code Driver's Lead Sheet. | |
| Fax | Sends an ACE eManifest driver's copy by fax. After selecting the copy type, the user enters the fax number and may add a subject for the fax header. The area code is always required. |
| Sends an ACE eManifest driver's copy by email. After selecting the copy type, the user enters the recipient email address and may add a subject, message body, and alternate From address. | |
| Status | Lets the user manually select from available ACE eManifest statuses. The user is asked to confirm the selection before the Current Status is updated. |
| Track | Tracks the manifest by email and system notification. Tracking sends an email when a new CBP response is received and creates a shortcut link under the menu bar. Tracking with a note lets the user add a reminder about why the manifest is being tracked. The same menu can be used to stop tracking. |

Details / History Window

The Details/History Window is located directly under the Main Function Buttons. It shows the current state of the manifest and provides the audit trail for transmissions and CBP responses.
| Section | Description |
|---|---|
| Details | Displays manifest information such as Trip Number, Port of Arrival, Estimated Arrival Date, and Current Status. |
| History | Displays the complete history for the manifest and attached shipments, including when they were started, major changes that were made, what was sent to CBP, and CBP responses. |
The History section is especially important because it lets the user:
- Determine whether the one-hour prior notice requirement has been met. The hour begins after CBP accepts the ACE eManifest. If the manifest was cancelled, resubmitted, or changed, only the most recent accept message applies.
- See CBP reject messages and determine what needs to be corrected.
- See when the truck arrived at the border, whether it was released immediately or held for inspection.
- Track important changes made to the manifest.
Truck Section

The Truck Section is located below the Details/History Window. It displays the truck currently listed on the manifest and provides options to add, change, remove, or review the truck. Truck information is mandatory on an ACE eManifest.
| Control | Description |
|---|---|
| Assign Truck to ACE eManifest | Opens a truck selection page and includes the option to indicate that Instruments of International Traffic are aboard. This option appears when no truck is assigned, but Quick Assign Truck is usually faster. |
| Quick Assign Truck | Assigns an existing truck by unit number or license plate. Type into the quick assign field, then select the matching truck or press enter. |
| Remove Truck from eManifest | Removes the current truck from the manifest. Any seal numbers listed on the truck are also removed from the manifest. |
| Set Truck IIT Status | Indicates that Instruments of International Traffic are loaded on the truck. The menu lets the user choose whether IITs are covered under the carrier's bond or importer's bond. If a trailer is on the manifest, set IIT status on the trailer instead. |
| View | Opens the truck details page, where the user can change or remove the truck, edit or view the Truck Profile, create seal numbers, or return to the manifest. |
| Change | Opens the truck selection page so the current truck can be replaced. It may be easier to remove the truck and quick assign a new one. |
| Remove | Removes the current truck from the manifest. Any seal numbers listed on the truck are also removed from the manifest. |
| Add Seal | Opens a page to enter a seal number for the truck. If a trailer is on the manifest, seal numbers should usually be listed on the trailer instead. |
| Validation Warnings | If the Truck Profile is not complete enough to be used on an ACE eManifest, a validation warning appears in red beside a yellow caution sign. Correct the Truck Profile before returning to the manifest. |
Trailer Section

The Trailer Section is below the Truck Section. It lists trailers assigned to the manifest and provides options to add, change, remove, or review trailers. Trailer information is mandatory when a trailer is being used.
| Control | Description |
|---|---|
| Add Trailer | Opens the trailer selection page and includes the option to set an IIT Status. This can be used multiple times for multiple trailers, such as double-drop trailers, but Quick Assign Trailer is usually faster. |
| Quick Assign Trailer | Assigns an existing trailer by unit number or license plate. This can be used multiple times for multiple trailers. |
| Set Trailer IIT Status | Indicates that Instruments of International Traffic are loaded on the trailer. The menu lets the user choose whether IITs are covered under the carrier's bond or importer's bond. The status can be removed later using the Remove IIT Status link. |
| View | Opens trailer details, where the user can change or remove the trailer, edit or view the Trailer Profile, create seal numbers, or return to the manifest. |
| Change | Opens trailer selection so the trailer can be replaced. It may be easier to remove the trailer and quick assign a new one. |
| Remove | Removes the selected trailer from the manifest. |
| Add Seal | Opens a page to enter a seal number for the trailer, then returns the user to the ACE eManifest Details Page. |
Driver / Passenger Section

The Driver/Passenger Section lists drivers and passengers assigned to the manifest. All drivers and passengers in the truck at the time of crossing must be reported.
| Control | Description |
|---|---|
| Assign Driver to ACE eManifest | Opens a driver selection page and includes the option to specify the U.S. address the driver is going to. The address can be auto-filled later if a shipment is added to the manifest. Quick Assign Driver is usually faster. |
| Assign Passenger | Adds a passenger to the manifest. Multiple passengers can be added. If the passenger profile does not exist yet, it can be created from this screen. |
| Address | Specifies the U.S. address the driver is going to. This is required for drivers who are not FAST-approved. The address can be selected from previously used consignee addresses. |
| Quick Assign Driver | Assigns an existing driver by name or driver number. This can be used multiple times for team drivers. |
| View | Opens details for the driver or passenger, including options to change, remove, edit or view the profile, or return to the manifest. |

| Remove | Removes the driver or passenger from the manifest. |
Shipment Section

The Shipment Section lists shipments attached to the manifest and provides options to add, assign, review, edit, detach, or delete shipments. All shipments on board must be reported on the ACE eManifest unless the truck is crossing empty.
| Control | Description |
|---|---|
| Create New Shipment | Opens the Start New ACE Shipment Page and automatically attaches the new shipment to the manifest. Use this when the shipment has not yet been created in BorderConnect. |
| Assign Shipment | Searches recent unassociated shipments. From the search result, the user can open a shipment and assign it to the manifest. Quick Assign Shipment is usually faster. |
| Quick Assign Shipment | Attaches an existing unassociated shipment by Shipment Control Number. Type the Shipment Control Number, then select the matching shipment or press enter. |
| View | Opens the ACE Shipment Details Page to review or edit the shipment. |
| Edit | Opens the Edit ACE Shipment Page to edit the Shipment Type or Shipment Control Number. |
| Detach | Removes the shipment from the manifest but keeps it in BorderConnect as an unassociated shipment so it can be reassigned later. |
| Delete | Permanently deletes the shipment from BorderConnect. It will not be available to assign to a manifest later. |
Hidden Sections

Many less commonly used sections are hidden by default. Click Show All to reveal them. Hidden sections include the Container Section, Documents Section, Comments, Verifications, EDI History, and Changelog History.
These sections can also be displayed through the Trip Details Preferences section of the My Account Settings page.
Comment Section

The Comment Section allows users to add and review internal comments about the ACE eManifest. Comments are not transmitted to CBP. They are for user reference and are useful for recording unusual situations, dispatcher notes, or audit context.
| Control | Description |
|---|---|
| Add Comment | Opens a page where the user can type a comment. Clicking Save adds the comment to the manifest and returns the user to the ACE eManifest Details Page. |
| Edit | Opens an existing comment so it can be updated. |
| Delete | Removes the comment from the manifest. |
