Company Settings Page

The Company Settings page in BorderConnect is accessed from the Account menu. It allows administrators to configure default behavior for ACI eManifests, ACE Manifests, shipments, driver copies, RNS, coversheets, user accounts, invoices, document management, mobile settings, and API access.

Changes made on this page can affect all users on the account, so settings should be reviewed before they are saved.
ACI eManifest Settings
These settings affect how new ACI eManifests and ACI shipments are created.
- Default Carrier Code
- Sets the default carrier code used when starting a new ACI eManifest or ACI shipment.
- ACI Trip Numbers Always Start With
- Sets a prefix for new ACI trip numbers. For example, a carrier may use a format such as `1234CRN0000123`.
- Auto Suggest ACI Trip Number
- Automatically suggests the next unique trip number when creating a new ACI eManifest. For example, if the last trip number was `1234000123`, the next trip can be suggested as `1234000124`.
- Enable ACI FAST Lane Notifications
- Sends FAST lane eligibility notifications when the assigned driver profile has "ACI On File" enabled.
- Exclude Driver Name From ACI Driver's Copies
- Omits the driver name from printed, emailed, or faxed ACI driver copies.
- Display ACI Import Buttons
- Enables JSON import for ACI trips and shipments and displays the import button on the Start New ACI eManifest Page.
ACE Manifest Settings

These settings affect how new ACE Manifests and ACE shipments are created.
- Default SCAC Code
- Sets the default SCAC used when starting a new ACE Manifest or ACE shipment.
- ACE Trip Numbers Always Start With
- Sets a prefix for new ACE trip numbers. For example, a carrier may use a format such as `ABCDTRIP0000123`.
- Auto Suggest ACE Trip Number
- Automatically suggests the next unique ACE trip number when creating a new ACE Manifest.
- Display ACE Import Buttons
- Enables JSON import for ACE trips and shipments and displays the import button on the Start New ACE Manifest Page.
- Require Existing Active SCAC for ACE Imports
- Requires SCAC codes in ACE imports to already exist on the account and be active. If disabled, imports may include SCACs that are deactivated or not already added to the company profile.
Shared eManifest Settings

These settings apply to both ACE and ACI eManifest workflows.
- Display "No Seal" Warnings
- Shows warnings on ACE or ACI eManifests when no seal is entered for the truck or trailer assigned to the eManifest.
- Use Verification Features
- Enables eManifest verification workflows so co-workers can review the accuracy of eManifests processed in BorderConnect.
- Auto Assign Last Driver
- Automatically assigns the driver based on the last driver used with the selected truck.
- Auto Assign Last Trailer
- Automatically assigns the trailer based on the last trailer used with the selected truck.
- Auto Fill ACE/ACI eManifest Port Based on Last Selection
- Defaults the port based on the port selected on the previous ACE or ACI eManifest.
- Use Commodity Suggestions
- Suggests commodity descriptions, package types, and weight units based on previously entered commodity information. This is useful for repeated loads with consistent descriptions, package types, and weight units.
- Show High Priority Listings
- Displays a high-priority listing above the default eManifest search results for eManifests that may need review, such as late ETAs or potential port mismatches.
Detailed Driver's Copy Settings

These settings control which columns appear when printing, faxing, or emailing ACE and ACI detailed driver copies. A maximum of four options can be enabled at one time.
- Show Release Type Column
- Shows the release type, also known as shipment type, on the detailed driver copy.
- Show Total Quantity Column
- Shows the total quantity entered for the shipment or shipments.
- Show Consignee Column
- Shows consignee information for the shipment or shipments.
- Show Commodity Column
- Shows commodity descriptions for the shipment or shipments.
- Show Weight Column
- Shows the total weight for the shipment or shipments.
ACI Shipment Settings

These settings affect ACI shipment defaults and Cargo Control Number behavior.
- ACI Shipments Always Start With
- Sets a prefix for new ACI Cargo Control Numbers. For example, a carrier may use a format such as `1234AA0000123`.
- Include the Word "PARS" in Cargo Control Number for ACI PARS Shipments
- Automatically inserts `PARS` after the carrier code for ACI PARS shipments. For example: `1234PARS0000123`. This option does not apply to reference-only shipments.
- Standard PARS Sequence Length
- Specifies how many characters should appear after the carrier code on PARS labels. PARS numbers that do not match the expected length display a conflict warning. This does not apply to reference-only shipments.
- Allow ACI "Reference Only" Shipments
- Allows users to create ACI shipments used when another party is transmitting the shipment data. This is commonly used when hauling freight for another highway carrier with a different carrier code.
- Default Shipper for ACI
- Sets a default shipper for new ACI shipments.
- Default City of Acceptance
- Sets a default city of acceptance for new ACI shipments.
- Default ACI Sub Location
- Sets a default sub location or sufferance warehouse for new ACI shipments.
- Enable CSA Features
- Reveals CSA-related features for users who are CSA-approved.
- Always Display Consolidated Freight Indicator
- Always displays the consolidated freight indicator on the ACI shipment form instead of keeping it hidden by default.
- Auto Suggest ACI Shipment Number
- Automatically suggests the next unique cargo control number when starting a new ACI shipment.
ACE Shipment Settings

These settings affect ACE shipment defaults and Shipment Control Number behavior.
- ACE Shipments Always Start With
- Sets a prefix for new ACE Shipment Control Numbers. For example, a carrier may use a format such as `ABCDAA0000123`.
- Standard PAPS Sequence Length
- Specifies how many characters should appear after the SCAC on PAPS labels. PAPS numbers that do not match the expected length display a conflict warning.
- Allow ACE "Split Shipments"
- Allows users to mark ACE shipments as split shipment segments. This is used when one PAPS entry with one PAPS number crosses the border in multiple parts.
- Auto Suggest ACE Shipment Number
- Automatically suggests the next unique shipment control number when starting a new ACE shipment.
- Enable ACE In-Bond Arrival Feature
- Enables ACE In-Bond arrival and export functionality where available for the account.
- Default ACE Shipment Type
- Sets a default shipment type for new ACE shipments.
- Default ACE In-Bond Entry Type
- Sets a default in-bond entry type when creating ACE in-bond shipments.
RNS Settings

These settings affect RNS and PARS checking behavior.
- Include Proof of Release in RNS Emails
- Adds Proof of Release PDFs to RNS email notifications when applicable. This feature must be approved by BorderConnect and requires email notifications to be enabled on the account.
- Warn When Driver's Stickers Are Under
- Sets a minimum remaining number of driver PARS stickers before a low-sticker warning is shown. This applies when a sequence of PARS stickers is assigned to a driver profile.
Coversheet Settings

These settings affect generated eManifest coversheets. They do not apply to BorderConnect fax service coversheets.
- Default Coversheet Footer Phone Number
- Sets the phone number displayed in the footer of generated eManifest coversheets.
- Default Coversheet Footer Fax Number
- Sets the fax number displayed in the footer of generated eManifest coversheets.
- Default Coversheet Footer Email
- Sets the email address displayed in the footer of generated eManifest coversheets.
- Default Coversheet Footer Logo
- Uploads a company logo for the coversheet footer. BorderConnect resizes the logo to 170 x 100. For best results, resize the image before uploading.
User Account Settings

- User Passwords Expire
- Sets how often users are required to update their passwords. After the selected period, user accounts are forced to update their password at login.
Invoice Settings

- Send Physical Invoice Copy to Billing Address
- Sends a physical invoice copy to the billing address on file. Digital copies are still sent to the billing email address.
- Show Bundled Shipment Total On Invoice Lines
- Shows combined shipment totals for ACE, ACI, and PARS on invoice lines.
Document Management Settings

This section contains settings related to document retention and upload behavior.
Mobile Settings

This section contains settings related to the BorderConnect Driver Mobile App.
API Settings

This section contains settings for API keys and third-party software integrations.
