This guide explains how to search BorderConnect's PARS Checking software for a particular PARS shipment or group of Canadian shipments.
Recent shipments are usually easiest to find from Newest Shipments. The search feature is useful when you need to find older shipments or build a list of shipments matching specific criteria, such as shipments released at a particular port or shipments associated with a particular driver.

Opening shipment search
To access the PARS Shipment Search page, open the PARS Shipments menu and select Search Shipments.

The page has two main areas:
- the search section; and
- the results section.
Search section
The search section lets the user search for shipments using different filters. By default, the page shows recent shipments. Adjusting the search options allows the user to find older shipments, date ranges, specific cargo control numbers, ports, or driver-related shipments.
Common search options include:
- Cargo Control Number / PARS number - find one specific shipment.
- Date range - search shipments created, accepted, released, or processed during a selected period.
- Port or release office - find shipments associated with a specific CBSA release office or border crossing.
- Driver - find shipments associated with a driver profile or manually assigned driver.
The action buttons are:
- Search
- Runs the search using the selected filters and displays matching shipments in the results section.
- Reset
- Resets the search options to the default recent-date range and clears other filters.
- Clear
- Clears the search fields so the user can enter new filters.
Results section
The results section displays shipments that match the selected search options. The total number of matching results is shown, and pagination arrows can be used when there is more than one page of results.

Each matching shipment may show:
- Date and time - when CBSA processed or updated the shipment status.
- Cargo Control Number - the PARS number or CCN for the shipment.
- Transaction Number - the unique reference number assigned by the customs broker.
- Release Office - the CBSA office where the shipment obtained release or is expected to obtain release.
- Driver - driver information associated with the shipment in BorderConnect. This can be added automatically from an ACI eManifest or driver profile PARS sequence, or manually with the Assign Driver link.
- ACI Trip Status - if BorderConnect ACI is also used, the current status of the ACI eManifest containing this PARS number, or a link to create a new ACI eManifest.
- ACI Shipment Status - if BorderConnect ACI is also used, the current status of the matching ACI shipment, or a link to create a new ACI shipment.
When a create link is available, BorderConnect can prefill some information from the PARS record, such as port of arrival and cargo control number.
Shipment details
Click View on an individual shipment to open additional details.

Depending on the information available, the detail page can include:
- broker information;
- service option used by the broker;
- sublocation;
- container numbers;
- delivery instructions;
- comments added by BorderConnect users; and
- an option to send a status query for the shipment.
When to use search
Use the PARS Shipment Search page when the shipment is not easy to locate from Newest Shipments. Search is especially helpful when checking older PARS numbers, reviewing shipments for a specific driver, or confirming release activity for a particular port or date range.
If the shipment is not found, confirm that the Cargo Control Number was entered exactly as shown on the PARS label or paperwork. If needed, use the Status Query Feature to ask CBSA for the current status of a specific cargo control number.
